My Sermon Notes has discontinued "Sign In with Apple" to provide a more reliable account experience. To continue using your account, you must migrate your login to use a standard email and password.
Step 1: Identify the email address linked to your account
Before you begin, you need to know which email address is currently associated with your account.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Sign in with Apple.
- Select My Sermon Notes from the list.
- Note the email address shown (if you used "Hide My Email," this will look like a unique, randomized string).
• Tip: Press and hold the address to copy it to your clipboard.
Step 2: Migrate to email and password
- Open the My Sermon Notes app.
- On the login screen, tap Continue with Apple.
- When prompted, enter the email address you identified in Step 1.
- Check your inbox for a password reset email.
- Tap the link in the email to set your new, permanent password.
Your account is now migrated! You can now log in using your email address and this new password.
Step 3: Important recommendation for "Hide My Email" users
If your account is linked to a private proxy email address (e.g., random-string@privaterelay.appleid.com), we strongly recommend updating your account to use your primary email address. This ensures you receive critical notifications, such as password reset links.
How to update your email address:
- Open the My Sermon Notes app and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap My Account.
- Select Email Address.
- Enter your preferred email address and save your changes by tapping the check mark in the top right corner.
Why is this change happening?
Since our launch in 2017, we have prioritized providing the most reliable experience possible. We encountered recurring technical limitations with external social login services that affected account stability. By managing accounts internally, we can ensure a more seamless, consistent experience for all users. We remain committed to simplifying the login process and appreciate your support as we make these improvements.
