Notes is an exciting feature of My Sermon Notes that allows users to take fill-in-the-blank notes and search them easily at any time.
Adding a new note
Notes works by using templates your church staff loads into the app before the sermon is given. To add a new note, tap the plus icon in the top right corner of the main Notes screen. You will see a list of available sermons you have not taken notes on yet, organized in order of newest to oldest. To add a new note, simply tap the appropriate sermon from the list and it will be automatically added to the Notes section.
You are now ready to take notes! Below each key point, you will find a freeform text box where you can add additional notes.
Deleting a note
iOS
To delete a note on iOS, simply swipe right to reveal the delete option. Tap it and press "Delete" on the confirmation prompt.
Android
To delete a note on Android, hold down on the note in the main Notes menu. When the top menu converts to a delete menu, tap the appropriate sermons you want to delete, and press "Delete" in the top right corner. Confirm by tapping "Delete" on the confirmation prompt.
If you want to fill out sermon notes from a guest church
When using the "New Note" screen, this will only show sermons from your home church. If you visit another church who uses My Sermon Notes, or if you watch a sermon online from a church who offers My Sermon Notes, you may take a note from another church by going to Profile > Church and temporarily changing your home church. After you have located the desired church, go back to the Notes screen and follow the process of creating a new note. After you've taken your sermon note, you may switch back to your default home church by going to Profile > Church again. You will now be back to your home church and the sermon note from the guest church will remain in your Notes screen.
